Restaurants

My journey into restaurant photography began in 2018 when Deliveroo first launched in Tasmania—I was proud to be their official photographer for the entire state. Since then, I’ve photographed over 50 restaurants, capturing everything from intimate wine bars to bustling takeaways and elegant fine dining establishments.

With every shoot, my goal is the same: to create images that not only showcase the food but tell the story of the space, the people behind it, and the atmosphere diners can expect. Whether it’s a hero shot of a signature dish for your menu, the glow of a well-designed interior, or the energy of a kitchen in full swing, I craft visuals that help restaurants connect with their audience in a meaningful and memorable way.

Geronimo,
Launceston TAS

This was the gateway to my restaurant work—my very first hospitality shoot. Geronimo, located at 186 Charles Street in Launceston, was known for its upscale family-style dishes, small plates, and craft cocktails, all served in a rustic-chic space that blended warmth with elegance.

In spring 2018, I was invited to capture their seasonal menu. The brief was generous and exciting: hero shots of food and drinks, behind-the-bar action, interior and exterior scenes, and a mix of natural dining and studio-style imagery. It was a deep dive into the world of restaurant photography—and it lit the spark that’s guided me ever since.

This opportunity came to me thanks to Clint of Clint and Bethanie , who passed the gig along when he found himself double-booked. From the very beginning of my photography journey, Clint was more than a colleague—he was a mentor and an encourager. I’ll always be grateful for his guidance, generosity, and belief in me at a time when I was just finding my feet.

After several vibrant years, Geronimo closed its doors in September 2023. While the reasons weren’t publicly shared, its legacy in the Launceston dining scene remains strong. It was a place of energy, generosity, and beautifully curated experiences—and I’m honoured to have played a small part in its story.

This shoot didn’t just document a menu—it marked the beginning of a new chapter. And it wouldn’t have happened without Clint. Thank you, always.
